O. Hyunsin Kim is a choreographer, Philipp Krüger a

theatre maker, she is Korean German, he is former East

German and both are in their mid-twenties.


Together they are 'KimKrü'.


In their one and only collaboration project 'Make Art, Not

Love'**, they explore the working condition of

nowadays "young"*** artists. In a world almost

impossible to survive without the kind support of one’s

parents, a not so nice part-time job, a boring internship

as a DIY barista or a never ending story of stereotypical

casting as an exotic lotus flower, KimKrü struggles to

find their place in the art market as a newbie

performance duo focusing on producing art rather than

making love.
